photo overload!!!

We headed down the scenic drive - Flagstaff to Sedona - on Saturday. The further south we traveled the nicer weather we got! It was soo pretty. Everything was very very green and bright and sunny. It was a great day. On the drive down we were commenting on how we're actually getting out and seeing things now. Now that I don't have a job and am not working non stop I actually want to leave the house! Before I worked so many hours and was away from home so many nights and weekends that when I was home I wanted to stay home! In Phoenix I never wanted to go anywhere and see anything. Any time at home was such a treasured relief that poor Joe was never able to get me to leave :) Fast forward to now and I'm all about getting out and seeing what we can do in this town! Which isn't much, so outdoorsy stuff it is.

Picture overload about to come.....

First off my first mothers day flowers and my necklace that just came in the mail today - love it!!

husbands...

they say the darnedest things! Last night we were laying in bed watching tv and talking about how we're going to have a baby soon, it has come so fast, etc. I said something along the lines of Carter is going to need an eviction notice and I really thought he would have been here by now. Joe says "he's lazy like his dad". It could not have been funnier. I said I was going with "stubborn like his momma".

Had my 39 week appointment yesterday. BP was high... again. Seems every other time it's high. Dr says "do you want to have a baby today?" me "um, I don't know!" (while in my head I'm thinking, yes I kinda do, but oh my god is this for real?!) They checked for protein and rechecked my BP. Dr came back and said I was "off the hook, no need to have baby today"

2cm, 80% effaced and a membrane sweep to possibly get things moving. They say a membrane sweep is 50/50. Based on either stubbornness or laziness I'm not too hopefully I'll fall on the 50% of the time it works :) But time will tell!

Next appointment is on MARCH 18TH. Carter's DUE DATE! If no baby by then we'll start talking an induction. Apparently I am "inducible" but that natural labor is much better so she's holding out for that. She told me I could drink some castor oil..... no thanks.

In the mean time I'm making sure to enjoy my sleep and showers as much as possible. From what I hear those are the first two things to go after a new baby.

Left over from the "epic" storm

It was so nice out Sunday! Sunny and warm - "warm" is relative we've decided. I used to freeze my tootsies off in 50 degrees but now 50 seems pretty darn nice! (although this doesn't mean we've decided to move back to MN :) Gilbert is the place to live... hint hint)

Blue skies, green Ponderosa pines, and white snow. Very pretty! I tried to get a some pics to show you how much snow we really got!

And clearly way higher than Kody - even with her tail held high!

Kody is having a relationship with the squirrel that lives in the tree next door. She sits outside and watches this squirrel for hours at a time. See the squirrel in the tree on the left? It sits in the same spot and stares at Kody for just as long. Too funny!

Tucker & Kody love snow!

These dogs love snow more than I ever thought possible! We woke up this morning to another 2ish feet of snow on the ground....in less than 12 hours. And it's still snowing pretty hard.

The whole neighborhood was out snow blowing around 10 - even though the snow is still coming down!

I met another neighbor! She has an 8 week old yellow lab puppy named Lilly (lady's name was Lynn and she works at the hospital). Another plus to Flagstaff are the really friendly neighbors! I've met more neighbors in the month we've been here than I did in over a year in Gilbert. The guy across the street helped me break up the ice and lent me his ice chopper, the guy next door, Joe, snowblows our part of the sidewalk and is super friendly, and the lady across the street, Lynn, with her puppy Lilly, said she might have to do play dates with our dogs plus her house backs up to the area where we let them run, then the kid next door came over and helped us get Joe's car unstuck. Very nice people in this neighborhood!

It's hard work running around in snow that is taller than you are!

The Trail

There is a great walking trail in our neighborhood with lots of open space for Kody to run. The girl that loved to swim and sun herself in 110 degree weather also loves the snow. She doesn't care what the temp is as long as fun is involved! The past couple days its been 50 and sunny and perfect for walking and throwing snowballs to Kody.

Turns out this girl loves to chase snowballs as much as Tucker does. Ohh the anticipation!

Look closely by the little tree in the middle... see that white ball of fury and the snow flying all around? That's Koder!
