Carter likes driving... but not too fast! Watch until the end, you won't be disappointed. I need to pull out the tripod...sorry for the shaky video; I can't help but laugh. And don't worry, we smooched him and snuggled him after.

Carter Safari!
I need an off camera flash for my camera BADLY. I have to use a flash inside the house and that just ruins the pictures, but if I don't use the flash they are semi blury. So for now, semi blury. If I could just get him to sit still :)

Some pictures
We've had a kinda tough week so far. I'm not sure if it was due to lack of napping over the weekend or what but this week he has been over tired and fussy. He will happily fall asleep on me, but then a few minutes after I put him in his crib he wakes up. Then we repeat, and repeat, and repeat, etc. Plus he's been up much more often at night. The pattern of 2 and 5 am are out the window for sure. Now it's more like every 1.5 hours. We've been feeling a little like walking zombies.
Today he's napped much better, and on his own! Wahoo!
Ok pictures, I have sooooooooo many pictures of this kid. Here's a few. (they look a little blurry.... used my point and shoot, not sure what the deal is)

say it isn't so.....
Today Carter and I were playing on his baby play mat and he was looking at himself in the fish mirror. I said to him "who is that cute baby in the mirror?" He then looked straight at my face and smiled. I don't know if it was just a coincidence but my lord if someone would have told me I could fall MORE in love with him I wouldn't have believed it. But that smile directed at me.... I'm head over heels smitten with this new little man in my life!
Carter is also starting the beginnings of baby talk. At least I think he is! It's a whole new sound. It's not a cry or a fuss it's this little happy squeak. He's also doing an awesome job and holding his massive head up! We recline with him on my chest and he holds his head up and looks around. I am pretty impressed with how long he can keep that clunker up! He was blessed, or cursed I'm not sure, with the Van Thiel big head so it must take some work to keep that puppy up! He continues to be totally enthralled with that wall. :)
Oh he's waking up from his nap, gotta run!
