This "M" is part of my crazy DIY list for Mya's room. Girl has the most me made room ever in existence. Right now it is the crib skirt, bumper, curtains, mobile, changing pad cover and this "M". Actually the only thing non me made is the crib skirt. Which I almost did make but Carter's makes these super soft sheets that I love so I bought them. Up on the list are a fabric wreath, headband hanger, fabric wall art, and a collage of prints. I'm in a holding pattern because her chair hasn't arrived yet and I want to be sure the crib and dresser are in their final places before I go and hang stuff. If that chair could hurry up I'd appreciate it. Moral of the story is don't skimp on a nice nursery chair. We're missing having a big cushy chair in her room big time.
Project 52. I'm glad I'm doing it because it is forcing me to blog. I want to blog but when I actually get a free minute blogging never comes to mind. I haven't even blogged Carter's 2nd birthday. Project 52 keeps me blogging.

For now a short what's new around here. Mya is going to be 3 months in a few days. She is a super smiley baby and loves to interact with people and talk. Her and I definitely share a special bond. With Carter we felt he had, and still has, equal bonds to both Joe and myself. But we both agree that Mya has a deeper bond with me. This seems to have occurred in the moment after she was born and stuck! Maybe it's a nursing versus bottle feeding thing? Who knows. I love our bond and Joe knows it isn't anything personal. Mya's a happy, happy baby. She loves to watch her brother play and smiles at him all the time. She still hates the car seat and the stroller. However, we just determined she definitely has reflux. Now she's on meds and they seem to be helping her quite a bit. She no longer throws up after every feeding and can tolerate being on her back now as well. Hopefully she'll eventually like the stroller and car seat. She loves to be worn in the baby wrap or the boba. She has discovered her hands the other week and is all about grabbing for things and looking at her hands. I love this stage. The pure fascination with hands is so cute! She also LOVES bath time! She's a super kicky, smiley and talkative baby during bath time. She is also sleeping really well. She's up once or twice a night to nurse and then straight back to bed. Well, not right back to bed. With the reflux we have to keep her upright after she eats, so after she eats she sleeps sitting semi upright on me for about a half our.
Carter. My two year old. He's still a super chill, laid back little dude. He is very independent and opinionated. Just the other day we were talking that we were a little worried with his lack of talking and then bam he starts talking like crazy! It is like a switch has flipped. He is stringing words together and copying a lot of what we say, counting, etc. One of Joe and my favorite things about him is how polite he is. We took him to the science museum for his birthday and while we were playing in this little pond we noticed something. When Carter wants something he says "please, please" instead of "mine" or "I want that", etc. We also had to teach Carter to say no! We taught him yes very early on and things were always "yes, yes!" so we had to teach him what no meant and when to use it. Pretty funny! Carter loves to be outside. He's an outside kind of kid. If he's outside he's happy. No matter what. He loves to be outside. Nana & Papa just put a swing set and sand box in their back yard for him and he's in heaven out there.
I know this is very random and scattered. I need a blogging date to dedicate some time to this neglected little family blog. One of my favorite things to do is go back and read about what was happening when Carter was little, etc. so I need to get back on the bandwagon and blog!
