just when you think it can't get any better....

It does. It isn't anything in particular. It is simply my little dude. I don't want to sounds like one of those moms that are obsessed with their kid. But, crap, is it totally obvious that he is the best thing that has ever happened to me? Eh, whatever, guilty as charged. He means everything to me.

The bad thing about a honking big camera and flash is that it totally distracts him and I usually end up with this look. He doesn't do his goofy faces as much when the big black camera is out.

We were recently at Target walking through the toys and I saw a sesame street remote control. Seeing as Carter loves to chew on the tv remote I grabbed it off the shelf and handed it to Carter (who was sitting in the cart... I need to get a picture of that) He played with it the rest of the time we were at Target, and wasn't impressed with giving it to the cashier. He watched her like a hawk with his remote.

Carter has also developed a water drinking routine.

Step 1: eye up sippy

Step 2: get excited to see sippy

Step 3: get sippy into mouth and tip it up (sometimes help from mama is required for the tipping up part) get as much water into mouth as possible

Step 4: spit out excess water

Step 5: enjoy and repeat

Call me crazy but I think Carter is giving me kisses......

This afternoon we were sitting on the couch and I was holding him against me and his head was over my shoulder looking at the back of the couch/feeling the couch (he LOVES the couch - touching it, looking at it, drooling on it, etc) He took a break from feeling the couch and was looking at me - our faces were a few inches apart. I looked at his cute little mug and made kissy noises at him and I shit you not he moved his lips to my lips. I sat there and thought to myself "that had to be a crazy coincidence". So I did it again. Again, he moved his drooly little mouth to my lips. I then proceeded to do it over, and over, and over, and over, and over. And each time his drooly little mouth made contact with mine.

Call me crazy, but I swear to you mine baybees is giving his mama the sweetest, messiest kisses around town. Carter, I appreciate your kisses. I just might be a tad bit in love with this little drooly man. Just maybe...

unwelcome visitor (time to move!)

Tonight, I took Kody for a nice evening stroll and came home to a little visitor next to our front door. I yelled a "holy f&ck!!!!" and went running inside to get Joe.

If you're still reading and haven't x'd out of the window out of sheer grossness... the siding is about 6 inches.... making this steroid spider about 4 inches. Hmm, perfect time to get the hell out of dodge.

I will be going to Target to buy the biggest bottle of bug spray they have and we will be laying down enough bug killer to kill steroid spider and all his big buddies. These creepy crawlies are NOT WELCOME to make their winter home inside my house.

Carter has recently learned how to jump in the jumper... he loves it and I could watch him jump all day long :)

Carter got some new jammies from his personal shopper. AKA his Nana. So cute and so snuggly... and size 18 months! Can you believe it?! 1 day shy of 6 months old and he's wearing size 18 months. Big kid! Thanks for all the clothes Nana!

Not sure if I've mentioned it here, but Carter is sitting up on his own. He has been for a couple weeks. All of a sudden a light switched and he could do it! Very cute.
