In Carter news:
* He is 15.5ish pounds and 25.5 inches tall.

* He smiles all the time and even at random people.
* He has learned to squeal like a little piggy :) He does it mostly when he's rolling over (I should say when I'm rolling him over) or on his tummy. His squealing has made Tucker much more aware of him. Now when Carter is on the floor squealing Tucker thinks it's play time. The other day Tucker brought one of his tiny tennis balls over to the blanket and dropped it by Carter, laid down, and then wagged his tail and looked at Carter like he was waiting for Carter to play with him. Very cute.

* Tummy time isn't so bad anymore, and he actually seems to be enjoying it.
* He giggled! These insanely cute little giggles. Joe came home from work one day to find Carter and I playing on the floor. Carter was sitting on my lap and all of a sudden he starts giggling! Joe and I were puddles on the floor - it was the sweetest little sound I've ever heard. We were grinning ear to ear. He's only done it once so far, but believe me when I say that we are doing everything we can to try and get more giggles out of him.
* He slept through the night for the first time about a week ago. It hasn't happened again but he is continually sleeping 7-9 hour stretches. Usually getting up once a night. Instead of waking up around 2, now he's getting up around 4. Only a few more hours and he'd be sleeping through the night all the time.

* He is wearing nine month sleepers!

* He LOVES his hands. They are probably the one of the coolest toys we have in the house. He loves to look at them and bring them to his mouth and suck on them.

* Speaking of hands, a few weeks ago he started grabbing his toys and bringing them to his mouth. He is starting to explore the world through his mouth :) He likes to suck on Milo and Harvey (his lovey bears)and tries to get Charlie (the seahorse) in his mouth. He sucks on blankets and shirts. I usually have more than one wet spot on my shoulder from him sucking on my shirt.
* He loves to blow bubbles and almost always has a bubble or two on this cute little lips.

* Sitting up is a big hit in Carter's book. He seems to enjoy the new perspective. And he looks like such a big kid sitting up! He also likes his bumbo, but I haven't gotten a picture of him sitting in it yet.

* He still loves to rub a blanket or Harvey/Milo on his face when he's sleepy or starting to fall asleep. It seems to really soothe him and help him put himself to sleep.
* He still thinks baby wearing is for cool kids and loves it. Hanging out in the baby k'tan is always a hit in Carter's book.

* This isn't really "news" per say but Carter is one chill dude. He is so laid back and happy. I've heard stories of babies that only drink warm milk, or only like warm wipes on their toosh, or only use a certain nuk, or drink out of a certain bottle, etc. Carter hasn't displayed any of that. He is so chill. The only thing that he really fusses about is being covered up at night. He likes to have a blanket on him. He could take or leave the nuk, warm or cold milk he doesn't care, any bottle is fine by him, etc.

In other Troness news:
* It is finally barely warm enough to wear shorts in the house... and it's the end of June in AZ. Strange I know.

* Our dogs know how to use pillows and it always cracks me up.

* Carter and I are about to take a leap into cloth diapering... we're still waiting for our order but we're pretty pumped to try it out.
* Last, but definitely not least, we are beyond excited for our trip home. I know Carter is looking forward to meeting some new people, taking a bath in the huge bath tub (aka swimming), lazing in the hammock, and laying the grass for the first time (no nice grass here). He is fully aware that he will be snuggled like crazy, and promises to pass out lots of big gummy baby smiles for those special people in his life. <3
